Quick, spicy and tasty Matar Chaat is very easy to make snack recipe. Yesterday’s soothing showers bought mercury levels down in Chennai…making my taste buds crave for spicy and tangy chaat. Being belonging to sun sign Cancer, I think my food craving are mostly weather related….hehehehe….good way to put out your un time and un reason food cravings right…?? I know…Blame it on weather or hunger…a chaat is always welcoming…isn’t it?? So I made this quick and easy Mutter Chaat – Green Peas Chaat.
I get hold of fresh mutter/green peas very rarely in the vegetable shop near my house. But whenever they are available I buy them. Choose small and younger peas as they are sweet and tender. Fresh green peas have less shelf time, so use them in a day or two. Shelling the peas is bit tedious job, but it’s totally worth it…when you are making peas puloa, peas paneer masala and a chatpat chaat like what I made today Mutter Chaat.
If peas are shelled and ready, you can make this chaat anytime. Mutter Chaat is amalgamation of flavours…sweet, spicy and tangy. The bhel gives crisp texture to the chaat. You can even substitute bhel with bhujia. As the monsoon magic unveils the hidden cravings of food in me….I leave you with this spicy and yummy mutter chaat.
