Seasoning Maggi

A big thanks to all the people who left their wishes in comments and mails. It is some Anonymous person who is using the name Blog Patrol and leaving the comments. Still now no response from that anonymous person dear friends. Hope things go fine and I get over this soon. The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination says Don Williams Jr. Iam back to unfold the new treasures waiting for me on this beautiful blogging journey.

Comming to the recipe, Maggi 2 minute noodles (masala) can be cooked with so many variations. After tasting spicy and cheesy maggi, Iam now going to share with you another simple variation in making this noodles ie., Seasoning Maggi. Adding oregano and chilli flakes to maggi noodles enhances the flavour and makes the noodles scrummy. Oregano or mountain joy is a warm herb with balsamic and aromatic in flavor. Its name is derived from the Greek words "oros" (mountain) and "ganos" (joy) since not only was it a symbol of happiness, but it made the hillsides on which it grew look beautiful. Oregano is a very good source of iron, manganese and dietary fiber, as well as a good source of calcium, vitamin C, vitamin A (through its concentration pro-vitamin A carotenoidsl ike beta-carotene) and omega-3 fatty acids. What to know more about this aromatic herb, click here. Adding chili flakes makes the maggi noodles taste spicy.

This recipe is going to participate in Weekend Herb Blogging #162 Hosting hosted by Chriesi from Almond Corner. This event is originally created by Kalyn, of Kalyn’s Kitchen, has now passed on to Haalo, of Cook (almost) Anything at least once.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 packet Maggi 2-minute noodles
  • Oregano
  • Chili flakes
  • Salt to taste (optional)

PREPERATION:

  • Cook maggi noodles as per the instructions on the packet.
  • Season with chili flakes and oregano.
  • Serve hot.
  • Last but not least add your 'love' to make the dish 'YUMMY'.

There is nothing like a quick bowl of spicy noodles to warm you up in the winter. :)
I am not familiar with Maggi but there are quick cooking noodles in the Asian section of the grocers here. I love to pop them into a soup at the end, to thicken it up.
