In Malaysia, the start of Ramadhan is based on the sighting of the lunar cresent and also through the astrological calculations. Being a country where majority of the populations are Muslims, the Ramadhan can be felt. We won't be seeing Muslims eating in the open during the day and during the night we can see the masjids will be full of people performing Tarawikh.
There'll be lots of stalls selling food (known as "Pasar Ramadhan") everywhere, all kind of food for Iftaar. It's such a pleasant sight as during these time, we'll be able to find lots of varieties in one place. Not to mention the sales at most of the shopping mall. Selling everything that concerns Eid.
During Eid, we'll put on our Eid attire and will head for the masjid to perfom Eid Prayers. When that's done, we'll head home and ask forgiveness from our parents, siblings and relatives. Some will visit the grave of their loved ones. After that, we'll visit our relatives and friends. Eid is a very joyous event in Malaysia says MamaFaMi of MamaFami's Spice n Splendour.
2. MamaFaMi's Nasi Goreng - Vegetable Fried Rice.

5. Agar-agar Cayalah.
